Quality Engineer

ABOUT YOU:

This role is responsible for defining, monitoring, and improving the quality of processes and outputs. The incumbent must work closely with business teams and end-users to identify and integrate new solutions as well as enhance existing processes.

The incumbent will record, track, and analyze manufacturing line quality performance, customer complaints, and quality alerts. The incumbent will track supplier performance, interact with suppliers to resolve issues, and perform supplier audits.

The incumbent will provide project technical leadership (goals, scope, and schedule) in a cross-functional project team, and coordinate outside vendors that participate in project activities.

YOU HAVE:

  • Technical Experience: ASQ Auditor, CQE, or CMQ preferred. Lean Six Sigma Certification

  • Strong project management skills. Experience in manufacturing/operations/systems/business processes. Demonstrated critical thinking skills and ability to solve complex problems with effective solutions. Ability to communicate and interact with all levels of management and employees, quickly adapt, and communicate, lead change management, drive performance. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Lean manufacturing, Kaizen and Six Sigma training and experience. Successful implementation of Lean Six Sigma projects. Process and Product Development.

  • Great Communication Skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience. 3 -5 years of experience in Quality Engineering

  • Education. Bachelorā€™s degree in engineering or related discipline

YOU WILL:

  • Evaluate, support, and improve existing manufacturing processes. Develop and/or assess processes, tooling, machine capability, etc. Assist meeting Annual Operating Plan (AOP) by staying engaged in manufacturing line performance and reacting timely to out of control conditions.

  • Investigate and lead savings opportunity projects. Responsible for delivering identified savings, project management, and presentation of project status and activities.

  • Perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency

  • Develop, review, and analyze quality reporting and data to determine trends, issues, and areas for improvement. Work with managers and their teams to ensure quality systems are sufficient to provide desired product quality levels. Provide quality reports to management at all levels to assist with business review and problem solving.

  • Plan and oversee analysis, inspection, design, testing and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product. Develop new approaches to solve problems identified during quality activities
