Job Description

A company headquartered in Denver, CO is looking for an AWS Cloud Engineer to join the cloud organization. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of experience in AWS cloud engineering and is passionate about automation and leveraging cloud technologies! This team of 6 will be working with all segments of the business to migrate applications to the cloud, optimize resources, design and implement cloud solutions, automate processes and provision services. This engineer should have a track record of designing and implementing cost-effective cloud-based solutions and familiarity with DevOps methodology and tools like Gitlab, and Docker. Additionally, they will monitor and optimize AWS cloud performance, develop and maintain automation scripts to manage cloud infrastructure, configure and maintain AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS and VPC.

This position is slated as a 6 month contract to hire and the client is excited to ultimately have a long-term resource on their team! Insight Global offers full benefits while on contract -- dental, health, vision and a 401k and the client offers full benefits upon conversion. The pay rate for this position is $41/hr while on contract and the conversion salary is 80-135k depending on experience. If this position sounds like a good fit, please apply right away!

Skills and Requirements

2+ years of cloud engineering experience with expertise with AWS

AWS EC2 and S3

DevOps tools (Gitlab, Docker or Kubernetes)

Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform or AWS Cloud Development Kit/CDK)

Experience writing automation scripts Networking (VPC, VPN, Direct Connect)

Security (IAM, KMS, Security Groups, NACLs)

Monitoring and Logging (CloudWatch, ELK Stack)

Load Balancing (ELB, ALB, NLB)

Serverless Architecture (API Gateway, Lambda)

Infrastructure Cost Optimization

Cloud Security Measures

Troubleshooting and Incident Resolution

Cross-functional Team Collaboration
