Join our Electrical Engineering Manufacturing Team!

Designing custom Power Distribution Centers , our Engineering Team meets the needs of our customers. Collaborating as a team, the Engineering team develops designs with our customers before sending the products to the next room for in-house production.

As a successful Engineer, Electrical Manufacturing you will:

  • Read and interpret customer specifications and drawing packages.

  • Properly size conductors and equipment overcurrent protection devices in accordance with the NEC.

  • Size and route conduit and raceways in accordance with the NEC.

  • Determine energy efficiency compliance based on IECC or ASHRAE codes.

  • Compile building submittal packages for review by customer and local AHJ's.

  • Understand and design control panels in accordance with UL508A standards.

  • Utilize AUTOCAD drafting software to build schematics.

  • Become intimately familiar with ESSMetron's design standards, codes, and manufacturing standards.

  • Selection of electrical materials and equipment to meet job requirements.

  • Create bills of material in our MRP system, EPICOR, specific to each job.

  • Provide additional verbal and written instructions to support manufacturing and test processes.

  • Perform routine calculations to ensure designs meet standards and codes per NEC, UL, NFPA and any other customer requirements per supplied specifications.

A successful candidate for this role will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.

  • Or 5 years of equivalent experience in design and manufacturing.

  • Proficiency in AUTOCAD software.

  • Deep knowledge of the National Electric Code.

A standout candidate will have:

  • Industrial building design experience.

  • Motor control circuit design experience.

  • HVAC implementation experience.

  • Knowledge of power distribution.

  • An understanding of the IBC, ANSI, IEEE and UL standards.

  • Electrical installation experience.
