Job Description

Elder Corporation is recruiting prospective employees for Class 7 and 8 Heavy Truck/Trailer and Class 2 Light Duty Truck Mechanic positions. All prospective employees will be subject to a pre-employment drug test, physical, and a background check. Mechanic positions are considered Safety Sensitive positions and are applicable to DOT and FMCA regulations.

Required Skills:

• Must be dependable and willing to report to work on time

• Must be able to work extended hours during the construction season

• Must be able to perform a variety of skilled duties which may involve inspection, diagnosis, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair on our heavy truck/trailer and vehicle fleet

• Must be able to maintain and update equipment records on a computer

Program specific training will be provided. Must provide own tools and possess the ability to safely and effectively use them. Specialty tools will be provided.

Preferred Skills: Class A CDL, Hazmat, and Tanker endorsements.
