Des Moines Public Schools is seeking Substitute Nurses for 2023-2024 School Year.Job Summary:The substitute school nurse works with district staff and community health providers to maintain optimal health and safety practices in school communities, support classroom teachers in providing health related curriculum, coordinate special care accommodations to allow students to fully participate in school activities, and ensure compliance with health related laws and standards.Successful candidates for this position will possess:

• RN degree

• Registered nurse in Iowa

• Competency working in a culturally diverse environment or the willingness to acquire these skills
