We are seeking experienced professionals for the strategic role of Partner Migration Program lead focused on migration success. As a leader, you will have the exciting opportunity to develop and deliver on our large migration strategy by working with key partners to support organizations transition to cloud. You will own the revenue goals for partners in specific regions and leverage proven programs and the deep experience and capability across our Solution Architects, Partners, Professional Services, and Business Development team.

This role will focus on working with select consulting and systems integrator partners, their AWS partner managers and AWS account teams to ensure that won projects achieve the customer's business objectives and our commercial objectives.

By establishing and growing business and technical relationships, and collaborating closely on joint sales engagements, you will be responsible for new revenue growth, increased market adoption and the expansion of the partners AWS migration practice.

The ideal candidate will possess both a business/sales background with a leading consulting or systems integrator that enables them to develop forward thinking initiatives which drive net new migrations to AWS services. You are expected to not only create and conceptualize tech programs but also be able to manage their roll out through partners. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business and technical challenges, with the ability to build industry relationships. In this day and age of customer obsession, it is critical that you possess or demonstrate the ability to build the right level of relationships across not just partners but players within the industry. This person is an influencer by nature and must be seen as someone the partners are eager to engage with and have a hands on approach.

Key job responsibilities

Leading the Partner Migration Program entails the following:

• Own the Partner Core goals for MAP in terms of Partner Attached MAP wins and Partner recruitment and enablement

• Identify and develop Migration Competency partners and support local partner leadership on MAP goals

• Actively participate in the evolving strategy of the program by making meaningful contributions to key narratives and planning documents developed from the central program team. Both providing insight from the execution of the program locally and thinking big about how the program can evolve

• Support partners on the MAP opportunities and be a migration subject matter expert to help close SI partner migration deals and work with colleagues to leverage the AWS migration program funding

• Lead the enablement of internal and external partner teams on AWS migration programs

• Work with partners to build the top of the funnel migration pipeline and assist partners in moving the MAP pipeline through the various sales stages

• Support partners as needed to deliver key MAP activities such as Assess (Business Case and Migration Readiness Assessment), Mobilize (Migration Readiness and Planning), and Migrate and Modernize

• Maintain a monthly, quarterly MAP forecast for your region and run business reviews to monitor the health of the business

About the team

The Partner Migrations team (PMP team) is a group of Business Development professionals that are goaled on winning Partner Originated MAP migrations. The individuals are experts on AWS’ MAP program and are responsible for driving the Partner enablement and execution within a region. Given the strategic importance of migrations and modernization we are recruiting a Business Developer to drive our partner strategy in a specific region. The individual will develop a community of partners and supplement the regional leads to drive GTM and sales pursuits.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience

  • 5+ years of professional or military experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations

  • Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
