Job Overview:

The Director Supply Chain role requires comprehensive Supply Chain, management, and business expertise. They lead through subordinate managers of managers and executes functional business plans and contribute to the development of functional strategy. They direct the resolution of highly complex or unusual business problems that have implications beyond their function. The Director Supply Chain applies broad industry and commercial awareness to drive financial and operational performance and influence customer relationships. This role reports into the Senior Director Supply Chain in the Offshore Middle East Business Line.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the business line strategic direction for the Supply Chain function

  • Staff the projects and business line

  • Guide the strategy for projects

  • Understand and liaise with the major suppliers and customers in the area

  • Lead other supply chain leaders

  • Interact with global discipline counterparts, regional and corporate leadership

  • Handle budget & headcount planning

  • Lead projects that are strategic to business

  • Retain and develop sufficient pool of subject matter experts in region or work with Global leadership to support projects

  • Manage annual performance and salary review

  • Develop succession plan for key resources

  • Work closely with all SCM sub-functions in developing Global processes

  • Support the Low-Cost Country Sourcing initiative in terms of audits and qualifications of suppliers

  • Support development of supply chain related processes

  • Ensure problems are identified in a timely manner and appropriate corrective action plans are developed to allow resolution; participate in resolving disputes, claims, and performance issues 

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, and/or Project Management

  • Over 20 years within the Energy Industry through all phases of EPCI project delivery

  • Extensive Supplier Audit and Qualification Experience

  • IRCA Lead Auditor certification

  • Ability to work as a team member as well as act as a team leader

  • Wide experience with vendor audit activities, including on and offshore operations

  • Communication and presentation skills, both written and spoken

  • Computer literate in Microsoft programs: Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel, Project

  • Be conversant with the NCR (Non-Conformance Reports) process and corrective actions system
