Job Description

AECOM is seeking a M&E Senior Estimator to be based in London, UK. ​

The Senior Estimator will perform as a team member responsible for developing cost estimates in the Aviation Sector. The employee will work in the Program Management & Oversight Branch in a major infrastructure project in the aviation sector and as such experience in this regard is a key requirement.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop proficiency in the use of the Company estimating systems and processes.

• Recognize and apply estimating terminology, measures, concepts and principles for compiling all types of estimates.

• Recognize how various processes/project actions and assumptions may impact the estimate and quantifies the impact.

• Prepare and/or coordinate the preparation of full project estimates.

• Provide complete conceptual and final estimating input.

• Responsible for performing all aspects of estimating.

• Assist in the preparation of the Estimate Plan.

• Conduct work requiring independent evaluation, selection, adaptation and modification of standard estimating techniques, procedures, and criteria.

• May provide guidance to less experienced estimating personnel.

• Develop wage rate build-ups.

• Reads and interprets drawings, specifications, Requests-for-Proposals, and contracts.

• Develop detailed material take-offs for procurement of bulk materials.

• Applies the various elements of the MasterFormat and Uniformat Division cost structure (overheads, G&A, insurance, etc.)

• Earned Value Management (EVMS) theory and application.

• Develops cash flow linking estimates to schedules.

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification, ideally within civil engineering or construction management.

• Professional membership of relevant Professional body such as RICS, MACostE or CPCostE

• Proven experience gained ideally within a mechanical or electrical aviation setting
