Summary:
Meta is seeking an Indirect Tax Manager to manage compliance, reporting & governance for the EU, Middle East and Africa region.The Indirect Tax Manager role is critical to the success of the Tax Department and will support the rapid growth of our business in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (“EMEA”) region. This is an individual contributor role.As the Indirect Tax Manager, you will support all areas of EMEA indirect compliance; planning, audit defense, and tax governance for the entities under management. The role will support primarily our infrastructure business but may have be required to support the compliance of other Facebook entities.

Indirect Tax Manager Responsibilities:
Supporting indirect tax compliance reporting to our Infra and Meta EMEA ITX governance and control leads
Review key performance indicators. Present at monthly update meetings with ITX compliance team and outsource partners
Proactively identify weaknesses in current processes and procedures relating to indirect tax matters and identify solutions including automation so that issues are resolved in a timely manner
Providing support and tactical insights on devising strategies to manage the VAT audit process. This can be with respect to VAT only Audits, or full tax audit where VAT is a part of the audit
Reviewing the VAT issues under audit, performing audit readiness assessment and co-operate data requirements
Reviewing and responding to VAT information requests
Assist in the monthly and year-end tax provision process
Work closely with the other cross functional partners providing all required tax support, including coordinating and working with external advisors and financial auditors as needed

Significant experience in indirect tax compliance and audit management
Ability to communicate and present indirect tax matters to management
Experience managing regional indirect tax compliance for a large multinational company
Ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally within the business
Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and establish ongoing relationships
