Mechanical Claims Representative- Call Center- Fully Remote

Job Description

Mechanical Claims Specialists to join our expanding customer contact team. As a Mechanical Claims Specialist, you will uphold our reputation for honesty, fairness, and excellence by providing top-notch customer service and utilizing your automotive expertise to assist customers via our contact center.

Responsibilities:

• Review, investigate, and authorize minor mechanical claims based on established contract guidelines.

• Communicate via telephone and email with retail and wholesale customers, repair facilities, and other parties to resolve and process claims.

• Use various technology and communication tools to process claims, review policies and procedures, labor times, and retrieve documents.

• Utilize tools such as AllData, Mitchell, and other Labor Guides to obtain labor times for specific minor mechanical repairs.

You will handle calls from dealerships and car owners regarding mechanical claims, including:

• Determining if repairs needed by dealerships are covered by auto warranties.

• Explaining to car owners why a claim is approved or denied.

• Advising car owners on the process to get a repair quote and the next steps for coverage determination.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of hands-on automotive mechanical experience

• Customer service skills
