Description STV is seeking a career mindedTransit Maintenance Facility Engineerto join our growingTransportation Maintenance Facilities Center of Excellence team. This position can be based in any of our STV offices across the country, including New York City, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Seattle. Qualified candidates will have a broad range of engineering and construction expertise in industrial buildings, rail and bus transit and other transportation projects. Knowledge of transit operations, industrial engineering principles and vehicle maintenance practices is a plus. Mustbe hands-on and will be responsible for developing program requirements, designing basic facility layouts understanding the inter-relationships between the design disciplines, and will review and coordinate the discipline designs to ensure that program requirements are satisfied, and appropriate space, utilities, foundations, and safety features are provided. The candidate should have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. This individual will work with local office resources and have frequent interface with peer professionals in other offices. Responsible to ensure a seamless delivery of services to our clients. Eventually, some travel and short-term assignments away from home base will be required. Additional responsibilities will include: Industrial/Equipment Engineering Design. Assembling catalog information, performing design calculations, preparing technical specifications, and preparing Industrial/Equipment Engineering discipline design drawings. Coordinating with all design disciplines. Participating in development of technical and cost proposals, oral presentations, and eventually contributing to business development and marketing activities as well as providing assistance in establishing long-range business and client relationship development plans to fulfill our objectives. Building and maintaining client relationships. Required Skills Bachelor's Degree in engineering or architecture (Mechanical or Industrial preferred).
