Industrial Maintenance Technician & Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Description

As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will perform root-cause analysis and analytical problem solving to repair and maintain a large variety of manufacturing equipment. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical breakdowns, as well as adhering to all site safety protocols and housekeeping expectations.

Responsibilities

• Follow all site safety protocols and maintain workstation according to housekeeping expectations.

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical breakdowns.

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical breakdowns.

• Provide excellent customer service.

• Operate personal lifts and material handling tools.

• Rig, lift, and relocate a variety of complex, heavy machines, equipment, and components.

• Handle piping and plumbing, pumps and motors, and new capital equipment installation.

• Perform Preventative Maintenance as assigned.

• Read and understand mechanical and electrical prints, diagrams, and technical repair manuals.

• Perform minor welding and fabrication assignments.

• Enter work orders and PMs into CMMS.

• Perform assigned duties with little or no supervision.

Work Environment

This position operates in a manufacturing environment where you will be regularly exposed to loud noises and machinery. The role requires the use of safety equipment such as eye safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, and hardhats.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Egg Harbor City, New Jersey.
