There are 2 positions available. This position is a union position with New Jersey American Water and the starting pay rate is $36.34 per hour.This position may be eligible for annual incentive pay and contracted increases as determined by the collective bargaining agreement, and you will have the opportunity for continued salary growth. American Water employees also receive learning opportunities and work experiences to grow professionally.Key Accountabilities * Collects process control samples, as directed. Performs water treatment tests and evaluates water samples, as directed, to ensure process water quality is within established parameters and, if necessary, adjusts treatment process to ensure the integrity of the water supply. * Operates water treatment facilities and related appurtenances including, but not limited to, chemical feeders, pumps, purification units, and standby generation and residual processing equipment to ensure the safe, reliable production and delivery of the highest quality water. * Assists with repairs to and maintenance of equipment and facilities. * Reviews, monitors, and adjusts hydraulic and chemical processes to achieve and maintain established water quality standards and system requirements. Operates and adjusts computer control systems to ensure the integrity of remote water treatment facilities, transmission and distribution systems and removes hydraulic and chemical systems. * Prioritizes and coordinates tasks and/or activities required for the efficient and reliable operation of water treatment facilities and related appurtenances. Receives and distributes chemicals and materials in accord with established company, State, and/or Federal safety standards and/or practices.
