Adecco is currently assisting one of our local client recruit for a overnight Production Lead . This position is a Direct hire position with the Customer.

SCHEDULE: Rotating Shift 7pm- 7am

PAY RANGE: $25/hr DOE

Role Summary:

As the successful candidate, being a Plastics Team Leader means you will work collaboratively across production and other business units, acting as a key driver in the effectiveness and efficiency in the development of our company's manufactured products. This is a rare opportunity to be working within a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, so it's important that you aim to ensure that we are health and safety complaint and are working to produce exceptional quality products. You will achieve this by maintaining high performing lines and executing in operational and line clearance functions, as well as leading and coaching your developing team to thrive in this new environment.

What you'll do:

• Oversees all production shift personnel, assigning work, review performance, makes salary recommendations, provides coaching and counseling when necessary.

• Performs process troubleshooting.

• Lead a small team of associates in execution of Production tasks, work schedule, training, maintenance, and continuous improvement.

• Training of all production colleagues and support staff.

• Ensure the effective use of a personnel.

• Monitoring and increasing efficiency in utilization and productivity.

• Prioritizes mold set-ups and manning.

• Collects and monitors machine down time and implements plan to reduce downtime.

• Maintains production and maintenance logs as required.

• Performs mold setups/startups as required.

• Coordinates activities with support departments to ensure production metrics are achieved.

• Enters and maintains all production data.

• Implements lean initiatives and prioritize 5S on the shift.

• Meets or exceeds Quality Goals working closely with the QC Department.

• Continuous Improvement of the department through Lean initiatives.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Enforce safety standards on all areas of the production floor.

What we're looking for:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

• Minimum 5 years of injection molding experience

• Minimum 3 years of shift supervision experience

• Ability to speak, read and write English

• Basic math skills

• Computer literacy to include Word, excel and applicable software programs

• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel

• Experience with plastics technology, electricity, electronic circuitry, molding and hydraulics

• Good problem solving skills; Dependable and self-motivated

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; talk or listen

• The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; lift overhead; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

• This position requires frequent manual dexterity in combination with eye/hand coordination such as keyboarding and assembling small parts.

• Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
