Title: Recruitment and Engagement SpecialistUnder supervision the Recruitment and Engagement Specialist performs work of moderate difficulty in Human Resources and Recruitment and performs related work as assigned.The duties shall include but not be limited to the following:Coordinates recruitment efforts of exempt, nonexempt personnel, and internships.Manages applications within the applicant tracking system. Maintains employee information accurately within the HRIS system for recruitment and onboarding. Initiates and manages the interview process, including scheduling interviews and accompanying supervisors and managers during the interviews. Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions; represents company within schools to encourage careers in manufacturing.Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying appropriate salary, start dates, and other pertinent details.Conducts reference checks and assists with new-employee orientations. Coordinates onboarding for new hires to include HRIS onboarding, pre-employment physical scheduling, and the scheduling of orientation.Initiates and submits all required documentation for New York State new hire training reimbursements and customized training reimbursements, in addition to all skills upgrade training reimbursements.Assists HR Director with succession planning and collaborates with management for identifying future staffing needs. Creates and updates job descriptions.Monitors & reports HR Metrics.Performs exit interviews; assists with the Retention Interview Program for current staff to identify engagement and career development opportunities.Assists department in carrying out various human resource programs and procedures for all company employees.Assists in preparation and/or maintains employment records/files related to such events as hiring, termination, transfers, promotions, and employee change requests in compliance with applicable legal requirements. Works with HR team to develop and/or administer special projects such as employee awards/recognition and company sponsored events.Participates in Employee Engagement activities.Performs other related duties as required and assigned.Requirements:Associate degree and 2 years of work experience SHRM Certification preferred.Accept direction and projects from the Human Resource Manager/Director.Strong verbal and written communication skillsMaintain cooperative and open communication with all personnel and departments.Proficient with computers; Microsoft Office Suite a plus.Experience with HRIS systems required (Paycom experience preferred). Be able to perform duties in an ever-changing fast-paced environment while continuously supporting employee needs.Perform other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
