Teutech Quality Technician in EMPORIUM, Pennsylvania

Duties, Responsibilities and Work Procedures:

 - Conduct daily production line reviews to ensure compliance to established instruction and perform other inspection tasks as assigned or scheduled

  • Effectively interpret drawings to evaluate product conformance to customer requirements

  • Be able to detect non-conforming products at any stage in the process and assist production in the identification, containment, sorting/reword and disposition of the product

     - Make suggestions to improve or refine existing process controls

     - Communicate both orally and written up across and down the chain of command

     - Create, train and monitor quality alerts and special instructions

     - Train and monitor the operators effective use and care of provided inspection gauges

     - Operate the CMM to be ale to evaluate product conformance

      - Create, revise and improve inspection and gauging instructions as well as being able to effectively train and verify training effectiveness with the operators

     - Work with production on operator and packaging instructions

     - Create and train evaluation of machining and material boundary samples

     - Evaluate and approve "First Off" parts to customer requirements

     - Assist in identifying potential root causes and possible corrective actions

     - Conduct measurement analysis for capability studies, GR&R and review data for accuracy

     - Complete all required paperwork pertaining to specific tasks

     - Monitor and report on supplier issues relating to quality of product

     - Communicate in a professional manner with customers over product quality issues as required 

     - Identify and report areas of concern in the plant regarding safety, cleanliness and organization that could have a negative effect on part or process quality

     - Assist with other duties as assigned

     - Conduct quality audits

     - Operate machinery if required

Education/Skills & Abilities:

 - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required

 - Minimum of 2 years experience in an automotive quality environment

 - ASQ Quality Designation or equivalent experience is preferred

 - Visual and dimensional attention to detail is required to determine product compliance

 - Must be able to interpret customer drawings for dimensions and GD&T callouts

 - Working knowledge of basic statistical techniques and capability analysis

 - Good working knowledge of CMM operation and basic programming skills

 - Must have good computer skills in a windows environment

 - ISO 9001 or TS-16949 auditing experience is preferred

 - Be comfortable with changing priorities and have a sense of urgency
