Actalent Director Of Operations in Englewood, Colorado
Medical engineering manufacturer is seeking a Director of Operations to lead their current production team. Leadership and technical hands on experience is required. ideal candidate will have a strong background in custom manufcaturing for mechanical, medical, aerospace, automotive or industrial product development.
Responsibilities:
Leads the Assembly Operations & Quality department including people and resource management
Provides department management oversight to achieve efficiency, quality, delivery, and customer satisfaction
Provides training, performance feedback, and management support to team members
Promotes high quality, collaborative team performance
Schedules and oversees all assembly builds (new builds and rebuilds/repairs)
Manages/maintains Assembly parts inventory, and department tools and supplies
Reads blueprints and BOM’s to verify the parts required prior to assembly
Coordinates with purchasing to order parts or materials needed for assembly or repairs
Actively participates in the assembly of our products according to prints, specifications and customer requirements
Establishes department quality standards and related processes to ensure consistently high-quality output
Verifies quality of purchased components and works with Purchasing to resolve any issues
Reviews any quality issues and improvement opportunities with management on a regular cadence
Qualifications:
3-5+ years experience as a Director of Operations
Bachelor's of Engineering with technical background
Experience building custom equipment or similar technology
Experience working on a manufacturing floor
Preferred industries: Medical Device
