Position Summary:

Responsible for planning and preparing for the surgical procedure and assisting the surgeon. Assist in care of hospital patients under the direction of nursing and the medical staff. Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Attend 75% of department staff meetings and is accountable for all others through the reading of meeting minutes.

• Attend all mandatory in-services.

• Documentation of 10 educational hours in addition to mandatory in-services.

• Participates in orientation and cross training of new employees, students, and department personnel as requested and documented in chronological order.

  Qualifications

  Requirements:

• High school graduate or GED required.

• BL S required.

• Nurse Aide experience is a preferred.

• Basic computer skills required.

• Surgical technology preparation and/or experience in operating room technique required.
