The Engineer II position within the Rotary Wing Engineering Team will be responsible for product development as well as supporting certification and validation activities. As an Engineer II in design engineering, this individual will be expected to work directly with internal and external customers to define, propose, design, and analyze solutions for engineering needs. There will also be significant interaction with manufacturing engineering, NPI, test engineering, and quality engineering. This role requires strong product and technical knowledge, communication skills, demonstrated ability to hit targets, develop customer relationships, and a desire to learn and grow. There will also be close interaction with the Regulatory Engineering, OEM Engineering, and Sustaining Engineering teams. This role will include the opportunity to own projects in the above groups related to aerospace product lines.

Lead and support multiple product development efforts. Support technology advancement in support of technology roadmaps. Participate in continuous development and engagement activities within our team, our facility, and across Parker. Meet technical project milestones based on customer need, resource availability, and project risk; complete those commitments on time. Create and lead technical content for design milestones (ADR, DCR, PDR, CDR, etc.). Participate in defining engineering approaches, in planning, and in scheduling work. Identify, implement, and improve best practices. Update Project Database and Project Schedule regularly on progress of hours worked and deliverables completed. Maintain awareness of and adherence to project schedules, resource commitments, and financial commitments. Embrace the use of design/project tools such as Design Checklists, Risk Analysis, etc. Create new design/project tools when needed. Maintain proficiency in the respective field of expertise and related areas through formal and self study, professional society affiliation, professional certification, participation on cross functional improvement teams, special assignments, etc. Lead aeronautical component design and preparation of accompanying test plans, reports (Safety Assessment, Part Specific Certification Plan, Materials, Performance, Dimensional, etc.), and other documentation in accordance with applicable FAA regulations to obtain design certification. Support validation activities through foreign regulatory bodies (EASA, CAA, etc.). Perform PMA design maintenance. Required Understanding of the technologies, products, materials, and customers served by the aerospace design teams. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Excellent time management skills. Ability to work in a team environment and to cultivate strong customer relationships. Strong technical aptitude, analytical skills, and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to manage complex assignments simultaneously with project management, organization, and planning skills. Demonstrated ability to translate customer requirements into viable technical and commercial solutions. Demonstrated ability to use sound engineering judgment. Demonstrated ability to recommend, develop, and commercialize new technologies. Relentless pursuit of quality, producible, cost-effective engineered solutions that provide the highest value to our customers. Continued pursuit of self-development to improve skills. Ability to understand and follow confidential data disclosure procedures and best practices. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, regulations, and procedures. Proficient in MS Office. Ability to travel.Work ExperienceRequired 5+ years relevant in ustry experience.Preferred Aerospace design experience. Familiarity with FAA regulations.EducationRequired B.S. in Mechanical or other similar engineering field.Preferred Master of Science or greater in related discipline.LanguagesRequired English
