SUMMARY

Candidate is responsible for managing the day-to-day promotions, working with the advertising agency to support the property for all creative needs, is highly organized and detailed and able to multi-task.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for the management of the Promotions Coordinators, including hiring, mentoring, scheduling, and coaching of staff.  Prepares and issues disciplinary action to staff, if necessary. 
  • Candidate is responsible for ensuring all creative collateral including, but not limited to, direct mail, advertisements, social media, entertainment, outdoor signage, posters, promotions, web, etc. for both on and off property events are developed and produced within time and budget guidelines.
  • Ensures all information is up to date and current and meets the required timelines in providing information to our guests.
  • Develops casino, event, and stage displays.
  • Ensures that all entertainment needs and contracts are fulfilled.
  • Works in conjunction with the marketing team to monitor and post on all social media platforms and maintain contact with guests in regards to questions and reviews.
  • Candidate is responsible for updating and maintaining the website content.
  • Possesses an engaging personality that is detail oriented and able to complete tasks and meet deadlines in a highly time sensitive environment.
  • Candidate will act as the liaison with the creative agency to ensure that all creative meets brand specifications and target deadlines.
  • Candidate will work with all departments to meet their collateral needs.  Copywriting, prioritizing and multi-tasking skills are a must.
  • Candidate is responsible for generating and logging purchase requisitions and processing payments for all billing relative to the marketing, entertainment, and player development.
  • Ensures that all Pennsylvania self-exclusions, PGCB exclusions, and credit suspensions are entered into the database per established timelines according to regulation.  Also, responsible for removing exclusions per PGCB advisories as received. The same applies to all Presque Isle Downs' management exclusions and removals.
  • Candidate is responsible for maintaining appropriate staffing levels based on business demand. 
  • Member of the Marketing team tasked with assisting in the development of effective events, promotions and tournaments to maximize revenue within budget guidelines.
  • Execution of all events, promotions, and giveaways for both casino and racing (on and off property) to ensure maximum guest satisfaction and rules submitted to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board are followed precisely.
  • Ensures that all documentation for winners is complete and all appropriate winner logs maintained.
  • Draft the PGCB Rules of Submissions for monthly events, promotions and tournaments for the Director of Marketing to review and submit.
  • May issue a complimentary in accordance with the approved comp matrix.

     

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Four-year degree in marketing or a related field and one year of experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

 

LANGUAGE ABILITY

Candidate must possess both verbal and written skills necessary to effectively communicate with the media, governmental officials and the public.  Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

 

MATH ABILITY

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions and percentages.  Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent, and to draw and interpret graphs.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. 

 

COMPUTER SKILLS

Candidate must be experienced in Microsoft Office.

 

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES

Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate licensing from the PA Gaming Control Board.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Will oversee the Promotions Coordinators.  Responsible for hiring, scheduling, training, counseling, recognition, evaluating and separation.
