We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sandblaster to join our team. The Sandblaster will be responsible for preparing surfaces by using high-powered equipment to blast abrasive materials onto various surfaces, such as metal, wood, and concrete. This process removes rust, old paint, and other contaminants to prepare surfaces for further treatment or finishing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Surface Preparation: Operate sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces for painting or coating. This includes removing old paint, rust, and other surface contaminants.

• Equipment Operation: Set up and maintain sandblasting equipment, including adjusting pressure settings, replacing abrasive media, and ensuring the equipment operates efficiently and safely.

• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as respirators, gloves, and protective suits.

• Inspection: Inspect surfaces before and after blasting to ensure proper preparation and quality of work.

• Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport materials to and from the work area, ensuring that all materials are handled safely and efficiently.

• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on sandblasting equipment to ensure longevity and optimal performance.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including the type of surface prepared, materials used, and any issues encountered.

• Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and supervisors to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest standard.
