[**[What does Brice Equipment LLC do? [[Brice Equipment provides arctic-grade equipment and support services to the oil and gas, and construction industries on the North Slope, Cook Inlet and throughout Alaska. Brice Equipment currently hosts a fleet of more than 400 pieces of equipment, ranging from heavy construction machinery to mobile support equipment.

[**[What can you expect? [[As the Facilities Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for the basic maintenance and repair of the various portable modular and fixed camp, shop, lab, and office facilities used for housing, equipment maintenance, storage, and repair within the Brice Inc. family of companies. Maintenance and repair include interior, exterior, and vital systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical). You will also assist with the setup and takedown of remote camps and other portable structures. Maintenance responsibilities will be on different job sites, and in remote settings. The ability to travel for work for extended periods will be required.

Perform preventative maintenance on building systems, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and control systems, and related components. Test system and component devices and evaluate performance.

Assist Brice management in planning and scheduling preventative maintenance work and recommend approaches to preventative maintenance programs.

Repair and maintain a variety of facilities systems, components, and structures; repairs building plumbing, low-voltage, and line voltage electric systems, door hardware, fire and life safety protection equipment/systems, sprinkler systems, sensors, and related hardware and software; constructs and maintains indoor/outdoor facilities, fans, lights and related; conducts structural inspections for safety.

Maintain induction and air handling units. Clean and inspect all equipment, complete filter changes, lubricate, maintain, and service mechanical and refrigeration and/or cooling systems.

Sizes, lays out and installs waste, vent, and domestic water distribution systems, fabricate plates, brackets, or needed devices.

Identify repair and maintenance projects requiring the assistance of contractors or vendors; participate in estimates and evaluations of project costs; monitor work of vendors or contractors; assist in the review of new construction or remodel plans to assure compliance with facility maintenance standards.

In conjunction with the Equipment Manager and Corporate Safety Officer, work with the Alaska State Fire Marshall to update plan reviews, fire alarms, and itchen hood fire suppression systems.

Assist the Corporate Safety Officer with annual safety inspections, evacuation routes, and putting a list of local emergency contacts together as needed.

Perform electronic recordkeeping and reporting related to preventative maintenance and repair; track and close assigned work orders; may monitor work orders assigned to others and assist them in managing work orders.

Maintain a working knowledge of materials, systems, and code requirements related to maintenance of Brice facilities.
