HOW A Lead / SME SAP HANA BASIS Administrator WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Responsible for the delivery of technical application administration services for SAP applications in various environments, verifying applications meet technical service levels, and taking appropriate corrective and maintenance actions.

  • Responsible for design, build, test, implementation, and environment support for dev, test, prod environments.

  • Develop migration strategies and project plans tailored to specific SAP environments.

  • Assess current SAP landscapes and create detailed migration roadmaps.

  • Determine AWS resources and services required for successful migrations.

  • Perform SAP system migrations to AWS including system copies, system refreshes, and version upgrades.

  • Configure and optimize AWS infrastructure for SAP workloads.

  • Ensure minimal downtime during migration activities.

  • Deploy and configure AWS Virtual Machines (VMs), networking, and storage to accommodate SAP systems.

  • Implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions in AWS.

  • Optimize AWS resources for cost-effectiveness.

  • Plan and execute SAP system upgrades and apply patches as needed.

  • Perform system validations and post-migration testing.

  • Implement security measures to protect SAP systems and data.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Conduct security assessments and audits.

  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks in SAP systems running in AWS.

  • Tune and optimize SAP and AWS configurations for optimal performance.

  • Maintain detailed documentation of processes, configurations, and day to day operations.

  • Generate status reports and provide updates to stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including SAP administrators, developers, testers, and AWS experts.

  • Share knowledge and expertise through training and documentation.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Proven experience as a SAP Basis Consultant specializing in S/4 HANA migration in AWS GovCloud.

  • SAP certification(s) in SAP Basis or related areas is a plus

  • AWS cloud certification(s) is a plus

  • Strong knowledge of SAP systems, architecture, and administration.

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Project management skills for leading migration projects.

  • Experience managing and leading technical teams.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain government Public Trust MBI clearance.

  • Advanced degree

  • 15+ years of relevant experience
