Family Service Association - Fall River Accounting Assistant in Fall River, Massachusetts

We are offering a $1,000.00 sign on bonus!

We are seeking to hiring a full time (40 hours per week) Accounting Assistant. Hours are Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  This position is responsible for assisting the Accounting Department with daily functions including, but not limited to analysis, monthly and annual reporting.

The responsibilities for this position include the following:

  • Process monthly contract billing

  • Prepare and maintain monthly contract analysis reports on expenditures and revenues

  • Prepare daily deposits and record on spreadsheet

  • Handle accounting petty cash box reimbursements and requests

  • Maintain and execute EAP contract on a monthly basis

  • Enter and calculate agency postage expense

  • Prepare childcare bill in CCFA

  • Assist with external audit preparation and requests as needed

  • Review and process section 125 and dependent care information

  • Respond to reasonable expectations of the Agency and/or supervisor. 

Education and Experience requirements:

  • Associates Degree preferred.

  • Must possess competent computer skills, proficiency in Excel and Word required.

  • 1-2 years of accounting experience preferred.
