Job Description

ZF’s advanced camera solutions provide safety systems such as Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Following Distance Indication (FDI), Lane Keeping assistance (LKAS) and Lane Departure Warning (LDW). These functions are realized with a forward-looking camera mounted at the windshield in the region of the rear-view mirror.

The Software Project Manager define the objectives and scopes for each stage of a software development project. The Software Project Leader is responsible for managing, planning, coordination, and delivering good quality software on time and within the budget.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for software tasks and release planning and monitoring throughout the entire software lifecycle.

  • Ensure the project deliveries are on schedule. Identify risks and develop mitigation plan.

  • Identify the resource need and skills required for the project. Develop resource ramp up plan to meet customer timelines.

  • Follow a defined software process (ASPICE) to ensure quality software is delivered.

  • Interface with the customer for software deliveries, requirement analysis, and software roll out planning.

  • Provide regular updates to the management about project status.

  • Provide technical direction to the ADAS Camera software development team allocated for the project.

  • Manage software requirements, architecture and integration work packages and deliveries to the customer.

  • Ensure the project expenses are within the project budget allocated for software development.

  • Coordinate internal cross functional teams and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.

  • Support new business acquisition by requirement analysis and effort estimation and technical solution proposals.

Required Qualification

  • 5 years of experience developing embedded software for automotive safety applications. With 3 years’ experience of leading a software development team.

  • Proficient in “C” language and have excellent oral and technical writing skills.

  • Familiarity with AGILE methodology for product development is expected.

  • Experience in the following areas: Requirements Traceability, Software Configuration management tools, static analysis tools (such as QA_C, Polyspace), MISRA and generally accepted embedded coding practices.

  • Experience in the following areas is highly desirable; OSEK, experience with embedded module implementation of CAN and the use of CAN analysis tools.

  • Knowledge of requirement management tools (DOORS) and issue tracking system.

  • Experienced with project scheduling tool like Microsoft Project(MPP).

  • Adaptability to work in an international company on a project with teams in multiple countries.

  • Must be willing to travel moderately supporting internal and customer test trips.

  • Strong organizational/communication skill, ability to work within team environment.

  • Experience with AUTOSAR architecture is preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical / Computer Engineering or similar discipline.

  • A Masters is preferred.
