HR SERVICE GROUP LLC Shipping Clerk in Fayetteville, North Carolina

Shipping Clerk will work together with fellow Shipping/Receiving and Production team members as well as Plant Management to prepare orders for shipment. This position may also communicate with the Purchasing, Customer Service and Sales Departments when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Read and understand the Pick-Tickets to ensure that the correct product(s) ordered by the customer is being shipped.
  • Process sales orders for shipments through Business Central.
  • Monitor and maintain inventoried packing supplies daily.
  • Ensure that the finished goods shelves/racks are maintained properly, labeled correctly and well organized.
  • Review daily reports with Shipping Manager to discuss shipping priorities, work assignments and shipping methods required to meet sales order ship-dates.
  • Expedite of required quick turnaround pick ticket orders by the Inside Sales Team.
  • Coordinate finished products completed within the work cells and bring the finished products from the work cells to the Shipping Dept to be prepared to ship to the customer.
  • Communicate with the Shipping Manager on all issues related to discrepancies on shipments and receipts.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Assist with various packaging needs when necessary to help with production needs.
  • Ensure that the delivered products are inspected/received and placed within its designated storage area efficiently.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • High School diploma is required.
  • Ability to safely load and unload LTL trucks with a sit-down propane forklift.
  • Working knowledge of processing sales orders for any Truck, UPS and FedEx shipments through the Business Central (ERP System) server would be beneficial.
  • Experience using a hand-held pick/pack scanner.
  • Communication skills; written and oral.
  • Basic Math skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Continuous standing, moving and reaching with arms and hand.
  • Frequently walks, bends, lifts and carries items.
  • Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment:

  • Work performed in a manufacturing shop environment.
  • Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
  • Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, and odors.
  • Ability to work with little supervision after training.
  • Comfortable with working in a team environment and/or by yourself.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to properly operate a shipping scale/wrapper machine.
  • Experience working in a shipping/receiving environment or related industrial experience.
  • Understanding of basic computer functions.
