Orizon Aerostructures Aerospace Parts Deburr Technician - DEBUR003218 in Fenton, Missouri

$20.00 hour

- - 6:00 am to 6:30 pm - Work: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday; or - Work: Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Wednesday

  • Summary: The primary role of a deburr operator is to inspect finished products to ensure parts comply with required specifications which may include performing a variety of operations utilizing various deburr tools to ensure surface finish and edge break conditions meet part specifications.

Responsibilities - Level 1:

  • Read and interpret written work order instructions, specifications, drawings, and blueprints to determine appropriate tool requirements to perform operation.

  • Utilize hand tools and small power tools to blend surfaces irregularities, break edge and smooth rough surfaces to specifications.

  • Coordinate with quality inspection to ensure part is in conformance with customer requirements.

  • Accurately report timekeeping, part quantities, and complete all associated documents

  • Ensure required documentation and traceability is accurate, complete, and legible

  • Coordinate with previous and following shifts to provide and receive tie-in of current production status.

  • Participate in Root Cause Corrective Action process to resolve quality/safety issues.

  • Become familiar with Orizon Aerospaces Quality Management system, how it relates to job, and how the Deburr personnel and activities should work with the Quality Department to ensure that we Always Deliver a Quality Product On Time

  • Maintain Deburr equipment, supplies, and work area to ensure that that tools and work area are properly stocked and in good working order per Orizons Ultra C-Lean policy

  • Maintains safe and clean work environment; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures

  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Must have excellent verbal, written and listening skills and have the ability to provide written and verbal instructions and present information clearly

  • Must demonstrate the ability to understand and work with basic mathematical concepts.

  • Must demonstrate the ability to read, analyze, and follow work instructions and procedure manuals.

  • Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.

  • Must have the ability to work independently and within a team environment.

  • Knowledge in use of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments. Instruments should include but not limited to calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, indicators and scales.

  • Must have basic understanding in blue print reading

  • Must have the ability and willingness to work extended hours and overtime, including weekends, as required by the work schedule and production needs.
