U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command Supervisory Regional Operations Manager in Fort Eustis, Virginia

Summary About the Position: Serve as the Chief, Operations Division Security Assistance Training Field Activity (SATFA). The incumbent will supervise development of partner nation Security Assistance institutional training programs and represent the organization in DoD and international working groups and meetings. This position is located at Fort Eustis, VA. Responsibilities Serve as Chief of the Operations Division. Direct development of Security Assistance International Training Programs to cover formal courses offered in TRADOC Schools and non-TRADOC Training/Education Activities. Represent TRADOC/DA and/or supports DA at CONUS and overseas allied military conferences, Program Management and In-Process Reviews. Serve as SATFA/DA representative on DoD and Tri-Service committees to review and refine security assistance training policies and procedures. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) directing and providing oversight to an organization's day-to-day mission workload such as long-range activities, plans and programs; 2) monitoring and planning major Security Assistance programs such as Foreign Military Sales and International Military Education and Training (IMET) program; 3) coordinating Security Assistance tasking requirements within an organization; and 4) directing daily training operations within an organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Leadership Oral Communication Planning and Evaluating Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. OGE Form 450 is used to assist agencies and employees to avoid conflicts between duties and financial interest.
