The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies has a need for a Open Stack Engineer/Virtualization Architect to support our government customer located at Fort Gordon, GA.
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support and maintain an OpenStack based cyber training platform based on the Kinetic framework, developed at the US army Cyber School • Support the S-VTA/VTA accreditation process (Risk Mitigation Framework) by designing and implementing system modifications as appropriate • Provide end-user support; this includes but is not limited to troubleshooting deployment issues, environment race conditions, login issues, debugging Application Programming Interface request etc. • Performing security operations such as applying STIGs and monitoring the network for anomalies. • Maintain environment configuration information with a git-based version control system. • Management of commercial internet access and associated firewalls and Azure endpoints. • Management of Juniper network switching infrastructure in the data center and edge environments.
• 10+ years of experience in information technology • 5+ years of customer-facing professional services or IT consulting experience. • 3+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture and design of complex distributed systems environments, including failover techniques, recovery/rollback, and application partitioning. • Certifications Required: Baseline certification: IAT II certification; Linux; Red Hat or other required Computing Environment certification required upon start date.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Experience supporting all or some of the below: • Gitlab CI/CD • Ansible / Salt • OpenStack Heat Templates / Terraform • Python / Bash • Docker / Container Orchestration • Strong Linux and Networking Fundamentals • OpenStack Service Provisioning
