BAE Systems Technical Writer in Fort Meade, Maryland

Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking a Technical Writer to support the Department of Defense (DoD) Joint Common Access Platform (JCAP). The successful candidate will serve at the Fort Meade Maryland site. This position is contingent upon award.

Writes, rewrites and/or edits technical documents such as technical procedure manuals, user/service manuals, programming manuals, operational specifications, and related technical publications to communicate clearly and effectively technical specs and instructions to a wide range of audiences. Acquires subject knowledge by interviewing product developers, observing performance of production methods, referring to technical specifications, blueprints, engineering illustrations, and trade journals.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • 8 Years with HS; 4 Years with AA; 5 Year with BS 2 with MS

  • Candidates with Armed Forces, college courses or associate degree, extensive certification, and additional experience are highly encouraged to apply.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • High degree of organization and communications skills

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $96470 - $164010

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
