Job Description

To provide proper training and supervision of all personnel including assistant managers and supervisors. To ensure prompt, courteous service in a manner that complies with Omni Food and Beverage standards and company policies and procedures. To ensure the overall success of the restaurant and bar by guest satisfaction surveys and utilizing financial controls.

Responsibilities

  • To consistently ensure maximum guest satisfaction while dining in the restaurant and bar.

  • Pre-meal meetings conducted with service staff daily.

  • Supervision of floor during operation.

  • Ensure that service personnel follow service protocol including steps of service.

  • Monitor timing of guest experience.

  • Handle all complaints to the guests' satisfaction.

  • Maintain a consistently smooth-running operation.

  • Make the Front of the House staff weekly schedule.

  • Ensure the side-stations are fully stocked with equipment.

  • All side-work complete and checked out by the manager.

  • Making sure the beverage machines are functioning properly.

  • Assist in seating or service of guests as necessary.

  • Coordinate all functions in dining room during service.

  • Monitor productivity of service staff.

  • Monitor and critique the quality and consistency of the food product.

  • Continuously check food quality and presentation coming from kitchen.

  • Monitor guest satisfaction and comments regarding food and service.

  • To be familiar with clients so that there is constant recognition of all repeat guests.

  • Review reservations daily and check against the VIP list from the front desk.

  • All special attention details handled properly.

  • Maintain the physical atmosphere and cleanliness of the restaurant.

  • Ensure the staff’s uniforms and appearances meet specifications.

  • Make sure all equipment in good condition and clean.

  • Make sure work areas are being maintained neat, orderly, and clean.

  • All lights and music adjusted appropriately for each meal period.

  • To contribute to the profitability of the restaurant through cost control effectiveness.

  • Constantly perform positive up-selling techniques with service staff.

  • Expedite table turnover and table resetting. Implement sales promotions and merchandising programs.

  • Be familiar with all beverage-related procedures and equipment and assist the cashier when needed.

  • Know and adhere to all company policies and procedures.

  • Know emergency procedures and work to prevent accidents.

  • Be familiar with and enforce all policies related to liquor liability laws.

  • Perform any and all other duties assigned and/or required by management.

  • Detail-oriented and helpful, follows through on tasks to ensure completion.

  • Operational opposed to socially, focused, thinks about what needs to be done, and how to do it well. Able to multitask and take several tasks from beginning to end before end of shift, despite the large source of information to handle.

  • Is an expert on time management, knows how, when and who to delegate workload and follows up to have 100% task achievements.

  • Coach and mentor supervisors.

  • Strong sense of urgency and understanding what is urgent and what is a priority.

  • Has a strong sense of intuition, understands non-verbal cues and has developed emotional intelligence to lead staff.

  • Confident, independent self-starter with competitive drive, ability to make decisions and take responsibility for them to complete projects on time.

  • Positive attitude and excels under pressure, has confidence in his own ability to handle problems and solve them.

  • Assertiveness, authoritative in guiding processes towards goals. Thoughtful, disciplined, accurate. Coachable open for training that will develop a higher level of specialized expertise.

  • Can concentrate on tasks at hand for long periods of time. Extensive FB acumen

  • Knows how to handle tough conversations with staff with ease, professionalism, kindness, assertiveness, accountability, and research before making a judgment call.

  • Thinks about the necessary steps for successful implementations, concise, direct, and empathetic.

  • Computer savvy on food and beverage related software.

  • Offers new ideas to increase revenue based on food and beverage latest trends.

  • He is stable and has a non-threatening approach when it’s necessary to correct, change or criticize work. Humble, very agreeable, and unobtrusive in getting along with others. A very understanding listener who rarely interrupts.

  • Convivial and persuasive, earns staff respect and is 100% hands on. Respects staff and demands respect from others.

  • Has the knowledge to elevate standards for all meal periods and takes pride in his work.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in Food and Beverage Supervision or Management role preferred in a high-volume FB establishment.

  • Has experience in IRD, restaurant, coffee shop, pool, bar.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent

  • Must have the ability to manage deadlines.

  • Understanding of Food and Beverage financials including cost is preferred.

  • General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Kronos and Birchstreet

  • Must have a strong attention to detail as well as strong customer service skills.

  • Must be Managers Food Handler and TABC certified.

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
