As the Water Quality Value Stream Supervisor, you will implement the Watts Performance System (WPS) and Lean Principles & tools to guarantee a safe work environment. Under the guidance of the Director of Engineering and Operations, you will achieve profitable growth, enhance quality, and reduce costs, inventories, and lead times through continuous improvements.

You Will:

  • Leads the Value Stream in daily operations and continuous improvements including executing production plans to support budget, establishing manufacturing priorities, observing quality standards, coordinating activities with off-shift management and order shipments.

  • Successful Lean implementation resulting in productivity gains, emphasizing the creation of product flow, using pull systems where flow is not possible, and working to level the workload.

  • Implement continuous improvement by ensuring adherence to standardized processes, implementing countermeasures, and maintaining safety compliance, using Watts Performance System tools, tiered daily management, 5-S, and quality practices to sustain a visually controlled environment that ensures conformance and improvement.

  • Ensure that standard work is followed, and all equipment is operational, in good working order and safe through periodic audits and implementation of an auditing system.

  • Hold regular team meetings and assign team member's tasks and coordinate support services needed within and outside the team.

  • Lead tier meetings and small group activities to support Lean programs, engaging with employees to address problems, identify solutions, and overcome challenges. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and help develop a learning organization.

  • Ensure cross-training for the Value Stream Associates, the creation and implementation of a skills matrix, to include backups from other areas, to assure a smooth-running Value Stream.

  • Work with the other members of Site Staff to determine the future state value stream mapping execution, measurement and learning from its implementation.

You Have:

  • Two-year associate degree or equivalent

  • 3 or more years of supervisory experience and manufacturing accomplishments, including increasing responsibility and the execution of lean projects and teams of considerable size, scope, and complexity.

  • Demonstrated experience managing costs, PC skills, manufacturing, quality and production planning.

  • Calculated basic math, diagnosed plumbing problems, inspected systems, and troubleshot system failures.

  • Embraced change and demonstrated comfort and command in a hands-on team environment.

  • Coached and facilitated kaizen teams and process improvements.

  • Knowledge of company policies, rules and regulations applying to your responsibilities

  • Working knowledge of all plumbing installations, repairs, pressure testing, manufacturing processes, equipment, parts and components.

  • Knowledge of all environmental health and safety, quality and labor standards applying to your responsibilities

MANAGEMENT:

  • Responsible for approximately 15-20 people direct

  • Responsible for a Value Stream's equipment, processes, and planning

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand or walk for prolonged amounts of time. You will also lift up to 25 pounds periodically.
