The Consultant, Solutions Design and Delivery is responsible for the quality assurance of applicable training for the organizations diverse learning audiences. Responsible for updates and or review of core programs to ensure learning is uniquely suited to lines of business, and that the design of new programs will take advantage of the best research and learning tools available. Responsible for developing templates for, testing and managing the organization's training documents, videos, training and webinars. Additionally, this role will support the design team by providing technical requirements for all trainings in the organization. S/he is the central point of contact for providing planning/project coordination to support ongoing process improvement activities while ensuring quality and integrity of materials.


  • Actively participates in Learning & Development projects by leading and collaborating on the process / training template designs, configuration, testing and providing support for trainings post-launch

  • Acts as subject matter expert providing functional and technical guidance to Learning team regarding learning systems and how they interact with design software

  • Proactively identifies opportunities for design enhancements and engages and consults with Learning Team providing detailed options for upgrading trainings and templates

  • Works collaboratively with HR team members and other appropriate stakeholders to analyze current processes, identify new system functionalities, recommend and implement changes

  • Must be comfortable interfacing with developers, designers, product managers and non-technical executives

  • Analyzes client source content, target audience demographics, job tasks, and learner environment to identify learning objectives and appropriate instructional strategies

  • Analyzes input from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to create and modify instructional materials

  • Creates design documents to specify performance or behavioral objectives, sequencing of instruction, course content, source materials, and instructional strategies based on needs analysis and target audience

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) while providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to other project managers

  • Tests and analyzes design software to ensure compliance with specified standards and end-user requirements

  • Coordinates or performs usability studies, and competitor analyses

  • Troubleshoot, problem-solve, and communicate with co-workers to complete complex processes under tight deadlines each month

  • Coordinates with users to plan user acceptance testing, alpha and beta testing

  • Plans, documents and directs system tests and resolves issues

  • Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design, Online Learning, Adult Learning, Elementary or Secondary Education, or a related field

  • Experience in a fast-paced learning design/development environment

  • Experience in the full spectrum of asynchronous development (e.g., graphics, audio, video, mobile and e-learning)

  • Experience with web conferencing platforms such as WebEx or GoToMeeting

  • LMS/LCMS and/or general CMS experience and their reporting capability

  • Proficiency with MS Office

  • Photo, audio and video editing skills using Adobe Creative Suite

  • Proficient in use of traditional productivity and development tools such as Captivate and Camtasia

  • Ability to communicate ideas and information (oral and written) clearly, effectively and frequently

  • Ability to identify problems, risks, and issues; mediate and develop solutions; and implement a course of action

  • Ability to seek out and evaluate current and innovative technologies and methodologies for knowledge transfer, skill and competency building and performance enhancement in adults

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

  • Excellent proofreading and editing skills

  • Experience reviewing courses to ensure content and learning activities/assessments are in alignment using either Quality Matters rubric or similar course quality rubric

  • Solid decision-making skills, is able perform multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of efficiency and quality, Strong knowledge of banking and financial industry preferred

  • Strong knowledge of training design and delivery

  • Strong technology and computer skills, with the ability to effectively use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
