Job Purpose:
The Inventory and IT Manager is responsible for the accuracy of all incoming and outgoing products and supplies. Ensure IT needs of the company are met.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures
- Collaborate with employees to ensure business goals are met
- Analyze data to anticipate future needs
- Use software to monitor demand and document characteristics of inventory
- Establish and maintain continuous improvement (2 Second Lean), problem-solving (KATA technique), and Root Cause analysis
Maintain ISO 9001:2015 departmental standards
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as inventory manager or similar experience
- Computer science background
- Computer programming skills
- Working knowledge of inventory management software
- Strong math skills
- Excellent computer and MS Office skills; proficient in Excel
- Good leadership and management skills
- Detail-oriented, organized
Working Conditions (if applicable):
- Office
- Mill environment (PPE required)
- Some travel
Physical Requirements (if applicable):
- Prolonged periods of sitting at desk, working on computer
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
- Must be able to access and navigate each department
- Various repetitive motions - keyboarding
Essential Job Functions:
- Compile daily reports for the Yard, Mill, Highway, and Farm Departments
- Document outside processor activity
- Compile weekly inventory reports and weekly water usage reports
- Compile end-of-month accounting reports
- Direct and document monthly inventory counts for each department
- Provide basic IT assistance to employees
