Senior Automation Engineer

As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for Process Control Engineering for site wide automation systems in order to improve existing functionality, optimize plant performance, and upgrade the process control infrastructure to achieve a higher automated production process.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and Troubleshoot both hardware and software for the site process automation systems including DCS, PLC, HMI, Data Historian.

• Develop and execute long-term master plans to ensure automation systems are migrated to next generation hardware/software as needed.

• Provide support for assisting operations and maintenance personnel with automation issues in order to keep the plant running.

• Develop and implement process control strategy improvements.

• Manage small projects related to automation including Scoping, Planning, Execution, Control, and Documentation.

• Involved in and assists in other projects to cover automation discipline.

  You bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or related fields. Advanced degree preferred.

• Basic knowledge of instrumentation and electrical equipment

• Five or more years of experience working with DCS process control system required.

• Familiar with one of the major DCS systems such as Emerson DeltaV, Siemens PCS7, Allen Bradley, etc.

• Familiar with industrial network for process control.

• Familiar with PLC trouble shooting and integration.
