Description:

Reporting to the Manager, Core Lab Operations, Lab, Automated Operations, this position is responsible for supervising regulatory activities to ensure the department meets all CAP, CLIA, OSHA, TJC, and state standards/compliance. The incumbent provides technical oversight, data review, mock inspections, and other activities to verify compliance. The incumbent is responsible for the Laboratory Quality Management, Performance Improvement, and Patient Satisfaction activities.

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences, Medical Technology, or the equivalent is required.

  2. Licensure by the State of California as a Clinical Lab Scientist is required.

  3. Five years experience as a Clinical Lab Scientist or equivalent is required. Minimum of three years of leadership (coordinator, supervisor, or manager) experience is required.

  4. Qualification under CLIA regulations to function as a General and Technical Supervisor is required.

  5. Excellent communication and leadership skills to ensure patient and staff cooperation and satisfaction as well as ensure excellent customer service are required.

  6. Supervisory experience with an emphasis on a cooperative team approach and ASCP is preferred.

  7. Attention to detail, excellent judgment and business acumen, as well as the ability to multi-task and communicate in a variety of settings is required.

Pay Range ($49.81 - $74.71)
