Our Air Traffic Control - Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) Program presents a career-growth opportunity for a Network Lab Engineer to serve as the primary network support for all lab activities at our Fullerton, CA facility. The Network Lab Engineer will interface with various functional disciplines to facilitate lab integration and testing tasks. Additionally, they will collaborate with the Hardware team to provide assistance and support in resolving issues.

Education & Experience:

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification or higher level Cisco certification.

Qualifications you must have:

• Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience working in a lab environment, with expertise in laboratory integration, test and evaluation, fault isolation of network hardware, and system qualification testing support.

• Proficiency in configuring Cisco-based network equipment.

• Ability to assemble and cable data center cabinets.

• Experience in developing test procedures to assess basic equipment functionality and conduct root cause analysis of failures.

• Previous involvement in generating technical documentation (data requirements, protocols, etc.), delivering basic data presentations, and collaborating in a team environment closely interacting with other engineering and program disciplines.

• Familiarity with Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) integration, including conducting Factory and Site acceptance testing as well as requirements verification.

• Prior experience with computer-aided drafting software for editing and designing solutions.

• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

• Experience in program bid processes, including understanding basis of estimates, creating and adhering to schedules, and maintaining bills of materials.

• Integration of complex subsystems, with on-site experience in surveys, design implementation, functional testing, and certification.

• Ensuring program compliance in areas such as property management, facility safety, financial budget accountability, and security adherence, with the ability to make enhancements and leverage improvements in daily work.

The salary range for this role is 70,000 USD - 142,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
