Job Title:Product Support Specialist - Holemaking

Department:CRPS

Reports to:Director Of Business Development

Classification:Non Exempt

Location:Remote

Travel:50-75%

Job Summary:The Product Support Specialist will drive technical assistance to support and encourage growth with established and new Core-end users, Channel partners & OEM’s by managing relationships, providing technical direction, and increasing productivity for customers. You will be the technical support system for all GWS company activities regarding holemaking. The ideal candidate will have a real-world knowledge of cutting tools, machine tools, machine shop operations, tool sales, and customer service.

  • None

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Establish ongoing relationships with-in all departments of the GWS team, core-end users, channel partners & OEM’s.

  • Collect data and help select the appropriate tool for the application.

  • Conduct periodic product presentations and tool demonstrations.

  • Participate in tooling set-up and run-off.

  • Gather manufacturing and engineering data to effectively communicate to the appropriate GWS team members.

  • Communicate with customers about quotations, applications, and design.

  • Develop and maintain deep tribal knowledge of the GWS holemaking offerings.

  • Actively promote GWS attendance at open houses, sales meetings, and trade shows.

  • Maintain account information, objectives and accomplishments in the company CRM.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • 2-year Engineering or Technology degree (preferred).

  • 5-10 years diversified technical experience in holemaking applications, design and engineering related fields.

  • Experienced in calling on and supporting core-end users, channel partners & OEM’s.

  • Aero structure holemaking experience (preferred).

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of round tool (drilling) cutting applications and understanding.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.

  • Strong oral/written communication skills.

  • Comfortable making group presentations.

  • Travel 50-75%

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to travel by car and plane (prolonged periods of setting).

  • Work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds and some bending, twisting, and squatting as required.

  • Ability to access and navigate manufacturing environments.
