Impact Fire Operations - Field - Fire Sprinkler Inspector/Lead Service Tech in Gainesville, Georgia

Objectives

To inspect commercial sprinkler systems in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements.

Nature of Position

This position reports to the Impact Fire Sprinkler Manager. The Inspector will be responsible for providing inspections to a variety of commercial sprinkler system devices in a professional and timely manner. The Inspector will be expected to meet weekly service and productivity goals. Continued employment is contingent on holding a Nicet Level III or ACE Level II certification in Testing & Inspections of Water Based Sprinkler Systems and the ability to receive and maintain state licensing. License in Backflow testing preferred but will be expected to become licensed upon hire. The Inspector is also responsible for maintaining a clean, well-organized vehicle and ensuring a safe environment for his/herself, co-workers and customers.

Responsibilities

When hired, the Inspector will:

· Manage their time to complete the maximum amount inspection calls while maintaining a high level of quality.

· Test and inspect fire sprinkler systems and backflow preventers.

· Be responsible for performing inspections with minimal supervision.

· Create timely, detailed, and accurate inspection and testing reports regarding deficiencies.

· Coordinate between inspection deficiencies and service required to correct found deficiencies.

· Achieve any weekly productivity goals assigned by the Sprinkler Manager.

· Immediately obtain applicable state licensing.

· Protect and maintain company equipment.

· Work in a safe manner as outlined by company safety procedures including the driving, personal protective equipment, and lockout/tag-out policies.

· Maintain their vehicle in accordance with company procedures and ensure it is clean and organized.

· Perform any other tasks assigned by the Sprinkler Manager.

Qualifications

· Hold a Nicet III or ACE II certification in testing and inspections of water-based sprinkler systems.

· Experience inspecting fire sprinkler systems.

· The ability to learn applicable installation, inspection, and servicing codes.

· The ability to perform physical activities outlined in the accompanying physical requirements checklist.

· A strong work ethic and professional appearance.

· Excellent selling, communications, and customer service skills.

· The ability to fit in with our culture of teamwork.

· Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.

· Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.

· Capable of passing a pre-employment background, MVR and drug test.

Preferred Qualifications

In addition to the above, the most desirable candidate will have:

· An ability to provide services across multiple product lines.

· Knowledge of Service Trade and Inspect Point software.

· Working habits and personal appearance which are both neat and well organized.
