Early Childhood and Early Childhood Special Education (Early Childhood Education and Students with Disabilities)

The School of Education in the Ruth S. Ammon College of Education and Health Sciences is currently seeking an open-rank faculty member with experience in Early Childhood and Early Childhood Special Education (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, full professor, and Clinical Faculty position) starting Fall 2023

Engage in the design of an innovative curriculum in Early Childhood and Early Childhood Special Education.
Collaborate with the Alice Brown Early Learning Center to support student success, mentoring prospective teachers in developing relationships and teaching strategies that support healthy learning outcomes
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Early Childhood, Special Education and/or related subjects.
Provide service to school, college, university, and community.
Aid in student recruitment and retention efforts in collaboration with the college and the university.
Facilitate the CAEP/NAEYC Early Learning Program Accreditation process and NYS, CEC and DEC program standards
Earned doctoral degree in Early Childhood, Special Education, or related fields, or Masters degree with extensive experience in early childhood and early childhood special education
Evidence of scholarship and curriculum design.
Extensive experience with Early Childhood and childcare centers, and working with children with special needs.
Strong understanding of the trends and NY state regulations in Early Childhood and Early Childhood Special Education development and learning.
Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with students, faculty, staff and community members.
