Boeing Ireland Ltd. is a Dublin based EASA and UK CAA approved Maintenance Repair Organisation with approval to provide Line & Base Maintenance services on Boeing 737 NG/Max, 777 and 787 aircraft.
Due to continued expansion, we are looking for experienced Lead Engineers to join our organisation. Prospective candidates are required to hold a valid EASA and/or UK CAA Category B1 Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence, preferably with 737 NG type rating although candidates with other aircraft types will be considered.
The Lead Engineer will be responsible for day to day oversight of production staff performing maintenance within their allocated aircraft zone and will be point of contact for the Licensed Aircraft Engineers and escalation of any technical issues. They will attend internal and customer update meetings, working closely with the Aircraft Check Manager to ensure production plans are driven to execution. The Lead Engineer will support the Maintenance Manager - Production contributing to the success of the London Gatwick Operation. With our continued growth and expansion, this role will play a key part in the development and implementation of new procedures as well as project work in support of our ongoing improvement.
This role is based at the London Gatwick Hangar facility working a rotational shift pattern. A degree of flexibility is expected and shift patterns will vary as required in order to support business needs and operational requirements.
The role will report to the Maintenance Manager - Production.
Lead a team of Licensed Aircraft Engineers and Mechanics performing Base Maintenance on customer aircraft.
Coordinate manpower and resources within their allocated aircraft zone to ensure all assigned work is completed in a timely manner to optimize aircraft downtime.
Provide updates on work accomplished and escalate any issues identified that will impact planned targets and aircraft delivery schedule.
Ensure aircraft technical log book, maintenance documentation, job cards, work packages and zonal handovers are completed accurately and within prescribed timescales.
Maintain a high standard of husbandry and cleanliness within assigned work areas.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company processes and procedures.
Promote a just culture and report all incidents and occurrences in the Boeing Safety Management System.
Actively support, promote and contribute to continuous improvement ideas and lean principles.
Assist the management team in the day to day running of the London Gatwick Operation.
Undertake any reasonable activities as required, including working away from London Gatwick.
Hold a valid EASA and/or UK CAA Category B1 Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence.
Type rating on 737 NG preferable although candidates with other aircraft types will be considered.
Must have a minimum of 3 years exercising certification privileges with experience working in a Line or Base Maintenance environment.
Demonstrate 6 months recent experience on type and ability to hold and maintain appropriate company authorisations specific to role.
Comprehensive understanding of EASA Part-145 regulations.
Previous experience of using AMOS or other Maintenance Management Systems.
