Responsibilities:

• Load and unload all donated materials
• Occasionally assist customers loading and unloading their donations
• As donors call or drop off donations, screen for usability
• Communicating with the ReStore Manager regarding incoming donations
• Occasionally supervising volunteers, making their experience meaningful
• Maintain an effective working relationship with staff, volunteers, Habitat homeowners and customers
• Accurately operates a cash register to document the sale of merchandise
• refers to established pricing schedules and office records to verify pricing
• Process cash, credit card and check transactions, following established procedures for each type of sale
• Answers telephone and provides ReStore information, directions; meeting the caller's needs
• Daily cleaning and straightening of the ReStore (keeping it safe, neat and clean)
• Direct pricing and operational questions to the ReStore Manager
• There may be other duties as assigned

Required Skills Experience:

• Knowledge and experience in retail sales
• Able to work well within a team environment
• Able to climb ladders, reaching and stretching positions
• Able to lift 75 pounds
• Able to stand on a cement floor all day, bending kneeling and lifting
• Must be able to operate a cash register, make accurate change, and use office equipment
• Must be a good listener

Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a good driving record

Must be at least 18 years old
