Campus Title Coordinator for Continuing Education

Position Summary

SUNY Geneseo is accepting applications to fill a new full-time temporary Coordinator for Continuing Education position.

This inaugural position will serve as the primary contact for self-supporting continuing education programs at SUNY Geneseo. The Coordinator for Continuing Education manages a growing portfolio of programs including, but not limited to, micro-credentials, certificates, and workforce development programs. Working with program developers, the Coordinator for Continuing Education will perform a variety of tasks to support, maintain and grow programs.

The incumbent will manage programs that increase access to the resources of SUNY Geneseo to assist current students, non-traditional and adult learners in achieving their educational and career goals. The programs may be associated with a specific discipline or industry sector and may be offered as a micro-credential, or other non-degree program. General responsibilities involve program management, instructor relationship management, student services, and monitoring the quality, fiscal viability, and general operations of assigned programs. Additional responsibilities include disseminating program information to various audiences, conducting information sessions, and representing the college and program at meetings and events.

This is a full-time, temporary grant-funded position. The hired Coordinator for Continuing Education will start in the Spring 2024 semester and serve through the 2024-2025 academic year.

Required Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor’s degree required by time of appointment

  • Demonstrated experience with program coordination and management

  • Experience with data analysis and database management systems

  • Experience assisting with budget management and analysis of budgetary reports

  • Excellent organizational and time management talents

  • Communication and organizational proficiencies

  • Demonstrated expert technology skills in using Microsoft Office and Google Suites

  • Demonstrated commitment and ability to work effectively with a diverse group of students, faculty, staff, and constituents in support of campus mission

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of general management experience.

Function 1: Program Management

  • Assist project director with budgets, costs, and maintain cost information and records.

  • Provide support to locate instructors and assist them with developing course outlines.

  • Assist instructors with logistics regarding contracting, development, and implementation of learning opportunities.

  • Complete any accreditation process required for creating or maintaining programs.

  • Develop and maintain efficient operations for program registration.

  • Provide support to determine needs for new or revised programs.

  • Assist with the creation and development of promotional materials and techniques.

  • Ensure programs run on the proposed cycle and all systems are in compliance for each instance of a program.

  • Work collaboratively with Registrar, Enrollment Management, Computer and Information Technology, Student Accounts, Communications and Marketing, Academic Departments, and other campus offices as needed for successful program implementation.

  • Update program websites as needed.

  • Assist with the creation of the new Office of Continuing Education.

  • Assist with the coordination and implementation of Course Merchant, the storefront and course management system.
