Campus Title Part-Time Reference Librarian

Position Summary

SUNY Geneseo seeks applicants for an anticipated temporary part-time (8 hours per week) reference librarian.

The Part-Time Reference Librarian’s primary job function is to provide reference services to students, faculty, and staff. This entails staffing the Research Help Desk in the Fraser Hall Library, answering electronic inquiries, and meeting with patrons for in-depth research consultations.

Additionally, this employee will assist with library projects, including LibGuide Maintenance and assisting with projects relating to Special Collections as time allows.

Required Qualifications

Required qualifications:

  • Master of Library & Information Science ( MLS / MLIS ) accredited by the American Library Association.

  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive working/teaching environment.
