Siemens Energy Manufacturing Technician Rough Special Process 3rd Shift in Gibsonton, Florida

A snapshot of your day

In this role, you’ll lead by driving manufacturing and repair processes, development, and improvement projects, and collaborating with combustion design and repair engineering groups to innovate new products. Your work will also impact society by helping to reduce the cost of fabrication and machining of gas turbine combustion components using our innovative manufacturing processes.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Will maintain, adjust, and operate all rough special process equipment as required for work to be performed.

  • Ensures all safety guards and shields are in place before beginning operation checking engineering instructions and specifications with the correct procedure and quality requirements before working on parts.

  • Check routers to ensure the proper part number and master heat number is on the paperwork and all previous operations are signed off will do spot checks on cut-off parts to ensure the accuracy of work inspecting for cracks, heat checks, or other damage.

  • Reports defective equipment to supervisor and leaves the work area clean and orderly at the end of shift.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or GED is required.

  • Manufacturing experience is a plus.

  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

  • This position will require an export license from the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security, and/or the Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Issuance of any required license is a prerequisite for this position. The candidate must be able to work with export-controlled technology in accordance with US export control law.

About the Team

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines, and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
