Located in the Phoenix Ariz. suburb of Gilbert the Mercy Gilbert Medical Center is a 198-bed not-for profit hospital with more than 1300 employees and almost 900 doctors on staff representing all major specialties. In 2014 Phoenix Children’s Hospital launched a 22-bed pediatric unit inside the hospital. Mercy Gilbert opened in 2006 and has been a vital part of the growing community. Responsibilities

The ULTRASOUND / PERIVASCULAR department at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center provides services to the East Valley community on an inpatient and outpatient basis. The department provides 24-hour coverage for the emergency

room surgery obstetrics intensive care and wound care center. The ARDMS/RVT registered ultrasound staff has extensive knowledge and training in the areas of anatomy physiology and disease processes. This allows the Sonographer to

assist the Radiologist in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of illnesses for pediatric adult and geriatric patients. ACR accreditation is maintained for the studies performed at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center and include but are not limited to; abdomen OB/GYN small parts interventional procedures carotid arteries and upper/lower extremity

venous and arterial Doppler.

JOIN US NOW as we are seeking a dedicated TECHNOLOGIST INT - ULTRASOUND who is passionate about the health and well-being of our patients to perform diagnostic medical sonographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision to technical detail as well as a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Two (2) years Ultrasound experience. Certificate Degree in Ultrasound. Must be well versed in both general and cross sectional anatomy as well as physiology. Demonstrates knowledge of (Must be familiar with) Ultrasound procedures both diagnostic and interventional. Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with patients staff and physicians. Ability to work independently and be a functional team member in a team oriented environment. Self motivated and able to achieve results through good organizational skills. Current Ultrasound License (ARDMS) in at least Abdomen or OB/GYN. Current BLS Healthcare Provider card.

Pay Range

$49.13 - $49.13 /hour
