Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS ) is a world leader in the research, design, and manufacturing of focal plane arrays and flight-based vision systems supporting a myriad of defense, surveillance, space, and weather tracking applications. We have an immediate career growth opportunity for a mid-career Industrial Engineer to join our I.E., team providing support to new, developmental and production programs.

The candidate will be part of the industrial engineering team supporting the factory in areas such as Lean manufacturing initiatives; planning sequence of operations and specifying procedures for product fabrication and product performance; monitoring current operations and determining more efficient production processes; mapping and analysis of value streams; managing and leading kaizen projects; identify and reduce inefficiency and waste, and overall ensuring that products are manufactured in a cost efficient manner while meeting the established quality standards.

What You Will Do

• Reading and understanding of Engineering drawings.

• Lead a cross functional project team.

• Generate technical documentation.

• Forge teaming relationships and partner with all levels of Operations and Manufacturing stakeholders.

• Training and mentoring junior staff.

• Working with semiconductor processing equipment, methods, processes, and cleanroom work environment (Class 100); familiarity with various microscopes and inspection techniques.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a related university degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in one of those areas (Industrial / Manufacturing / Process Engineering) Or an advanced degree with 5 years of related experience.

• The Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government issued clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Green Belt Certification.

• Knowledge Microsoft Suites (MS Project, Excel, Power Point), SAP & Eyelit and MiniTab systems.

• Experience working on engineering level programs from conceptual phase, preproduction phase, to production build; designing control systems to reduce cost and manage production issues.

• Work with minimal supervision, good problem-solving abilities as well as keen analytical and organizational skills.

• Strong Oral and Communication Skills.

The salary range for this role is 85,000 USD - 179,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
