JOB SUMMARY

Our company is seeking an analytical, detail-oriented Payroll & Benefits Specialist to process payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and administer employee benefits programs such as health insurance, retirement plans, vacation policies, and more. This role requires keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of payroll and benefits administration. This is a full-time, hourly position hiring at $24.00-$30.00 per hour based on relevant experience & certifications.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and process payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and vacation policies.
  • Maintain accurate employee records related to payroll and benefits.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits.
  • Collaborate with HR team members and managers to ensure smooth payroll and benefits administration processes.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures related to payroll and benefits.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and/or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and other payroll technologies.
  • Authorized to work in the United States of America.
  • Proficient in the English Language.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-3 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration.
  • Familiarity with administrating payroll & benefits through Paylocity HRIS system.
  • Previous experience administrating payroll laws & regulations across multiple states.
