JOB SUMMARY

Our company is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Plasma Table & Flame Cut Operator to produce custom metal products and parts with thermal cutting machines according to company specifications. This role will be responsible for understanding and applying various operational techniques, working quickly and skillfully with their hands and with others to complete components in specified time frame. This is a full-time, hourly position currently hiring for nights and weekends at $18.00-$23.00 per hour based on relevant experience & certifications.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Safely operates flame & thermal cutting machines/torches which cut metal plates to specified dimensions, contour, and bevel according to blueprints, work orders, and templates. Accurately identifies appropriate material stock according to work order specifications. Lifts, positions and clamps metal stock onto bed of machine. Connects hoses from torch to regulator valves & cylinders of oxygen fuel gas, like acetylene, hydrogen, or propane. Selects torch tip and computes gas pressure and mixture, and speed of cut, according to type thickness of metal, data charts, or record of previous cuts. Performs various machine-guided functions including sliding arm adjustments for longitudinal cuts, gas pressure monitoring, cutting speed, lighting & preheating metal, and oxygen control. Maintains records of day-to-day operations, Documenting any errors or interruptions in production. Maintains compliance with all company safety policies & procedures. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma/GED equivalent. Previous experience with welding, flame torches, and table cutting. Ability to travel as needed, with a valid driver's license. Authorized to work in the United States of America. Proficient in the English Language.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Previous experience with CAD.
