Under the general direction of the department team leader, performs a multi functional role that includes responsibility for monitoring and maintaining account balance integrity for Manufacturing related general ledger accounts and weekly review of sales data and Key Performance Indicators. Participates in corporate cross-functional meetings that pertain to such accounts. Also plays a diversified part in providing support and back up for all departmental management responsibilities including departmental innovations, corporate projects and financial reporting.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Daily review of margins

• Daily review of key inventory transactions

• Weekly review and reconciliation of sales data

• Distribution of weekly key performance indicator reports

• Prepare and analyze periodic review of expenses for all Meijer manufacturing facilities

• Preparation of journal entries

• Prepare and analyze assigned balance sheet account reconciliations

• Participating in corporate cross-functional meetings on department-related projects

• Conducting projects, tasks, and ad hoc functions based on the needs of the department

What You Bring With You (Qualifications):

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

• 1-3 years accounting experience preferred

• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Extensive analytical abilities

• Effective communication skills; high degree of professionalism

• Self-starter, deadline driven, team oriented and be able to work independently
